Dragon Boat Festival |
It's the Dragon Boat Festival next week. Fifth day of the fifth lunar month. If you had one of our Tiger Planners you'd know this... We designed a Dragon Boat e-card to mark the occasion and to send to clients - see it here. As usual we came up with quite a few concepts during the process and instead of not using them we thought we'd give them an airing on the blog. So see below. Enjoy. |

New Year Offerings |
This morning, the first day back after the New Year holiday, we made offerings and burned money for the gods and ancestors. We burned incense and offered food in our office. Outside our building, under the watchful eye of our friendly building security guard, we burned money in a re-purposed bin. |

Tiger Planner |
Every year we make something to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This year we've made a wall planner with a difference we're calling the Tiger Planner. Instead of dividing the year into months, we divide following lunar phases. It gives a different way to look at the year and the flow of time. We're printing a limited number of the Tiger Planners. Drop us an email with your mailing address if you'd like to receive one. You can download a PDF of the Tiger Planner here. It's big. 2.1MB. For printing on 100 x 70 cm paper. In pixels it's 11714 x 8201. Here's a hi-res JPEG of the Tiger Planner Here's what I wrote for the planner: Welcome… |

Odaiba Water Illumination Show |
The Odaiba Water Illumination Show is held at the end of each year at Odaiba, a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, across the Rainbow Bridge from central Tokyo. Images are projects onto a wall of water - 15m tall by 40m wide - to a musical accompaniment. Quite beautiful. YouTube video embedded below. |
