Fallingwater

Fallingwater (Wikipedia) is a house designed for Edgar J. Kaufmann by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It is one of the most famous buildings in the World and a true architectural masterpiece. Matija Grguric, an architecture student in Zagreb, has built a stunning Lego model of Fallingwater. It took him seven months to build, using over 15,000 bricks.
Ken Burns (Wikipedia) made a documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright for PBS which includes the clip below of Edgar Tafel, one of FLW's apprentices, talking about the process of how the original drawings were made. Once FLW had got the commission from Kaufmann he visited the site and asked his apprentices to make detailed drawings of the site including a plot plan of trees and boulders. He then did nothing for 3 months. Until he got a phone call informing him that Kaufmann would be arriving at his studio in three hours. He then started to draw. He finished the final drawing as Kaufmann entered his drafting room. Fascinating stuff.
If you're wondering where it is, here's a link to Fallingwater on Google Maps.
